Blackened Seasoning Spice Mix

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon ground dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Directions
- combine in a bowl until well mixed, and store in a sealed container.
Notes
This is my preferred seasoning for fish, but blackened chicken, shrimp, and even steak can be incredibly good!
Note that there is no salt in this mix, so you will want to salt whatever you’re cooking. I find keeping the salt separate is best here because certain foods naturally need more salt than others, and this gives you much more control.
